I’m Thao Bui, and my life has always revolved around two places—the kitchen and the farm. I’ve been cooking for decades, starting as a child in a family where meals were made from fresh, whole ingredients.

Over the years, I’ve embraced a fully plant-based way of cooking that reflects my values and love for food that nourishes both body and planet.
When I’m not in the kitchen, I’m tending my strawberry fields. Growing, caring for, and harvesting my own produce has taught me patience and respect for nature. The same patience guides the way I cook—letting fresh ingredients shine without overcomplicating them.
How This Blog Began
This blog began with a quiet afternoon conversation over tea. My daughter introduced me to the idea of blogging—sharing recipes, tips, and stories online. At first, I wasn’t sure it was for me. But she reminded me that my recipes and the way I talk about food could inspire others to try vegan cooking in an approachable way.
Soon after, I began collecting my plant-based recipes here. Some are rooted in family traditions adapted to be vegan, others are new creations inspired by the vegetables, fruits, and herbs I grow. Each recipe comes with a bit of the story behind it.
What You’ll Find Here
You’ll find seasonal vegan recipes made with simple, fresh ingredients—many straight from my farm. I keep the steps clear, the flavors vibrant, and the methods practical for everyday cooking. Whether it’s a hearty soup, a fresh salad, or a dessert that happens to be dairy-free, everything here is plant-based and made to be shared.
Why I Share
Vegan cooking is more than a way to eat—it’s a way to connect. It connects us to the seasons, to the farmers who grow our food, and to the people we cook for. Through this blog, I hope to show that plant-based cooking can be both simple and deeply satisfying.
Thank you for visiting my kitchen through this space. I hope you leave with a recipe you’ll want to make again, and the inspiration to keep cooking with plants at the heart of every meal.
